Summer school prices take massive cut

The University has cut the prices for this year’s summer school.

Starting yesterday, the price for regular summer school is now $500 per hour, a decrease from the previous $575. Students can now save $75, a total of $225 per three-hour class.

The first summer school session is June 4-July 6, and the second session is July 9-August 9. Students can register up to the day before class.

Kim Gaynor, vice president for University communications, said this is the lowest summer school price the University has ever offered.

“For those who are wishing they had done something about summer school, this is the best deal ever,” Gaynor said.

Gaynor also emphasized the Fastterm price of $500 for a three-hour course taken over ten days. Eight basic courses will be offered May 15-25 and four June 4-15. All classes will meet Monday through Friday from 10:15 a.m.-3:15 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break.

The deadline for both the regular summer school courses and the Fastterms are the day before the classes start, however, the classes are filling up so students must sign up quickly to take advantage of the decrease in price for summer school.
