Kids’ shows are unrelatable

During a recent trip back home to my native state of Oklahoma, I watched for the first time “The Wizards of Waverly Place,” a Disney Channel sitcom, while babysitting a cousin.

Most television series have gone off the air for their traditional winter hiatus, leaving many viewers with little to watch but stale reruns of “Friends” and “Seinfield” during the cold days of the December break.
