Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday met Bollywood actors and filmmakers, including Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, to discuss initiatives to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and said plans are afoot to host an worldwide entertainment summit in India. The focus was to talk about the shows and movies that have popularized Mahatma Gandhi and Gandhism on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation.

The event took place at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, New Delhi. October 2nd marked the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, who was born in 1869 in Porbandar, Gujarat.

In his speech, Modi said, "You all do great work but perhaps you do not know about its global influence".
