Remedy has detailed the post-launch content that Control players can look forward to over the next year, revealing two paid-for expansions and a new game mode.
Now in a newly released content roadmap, the developer appear to be teasing an official Alan Wake crossover expansion coming to Control. A photo mode is arriving in the fall, while a free Expeditions mode is due in December that will drop you into a fierce "end-game" scenario as you explore the Formation. Each expansion will add new story missions, new locations (within the Oldest House), new enemies and new mechanics. There are references to Alan Wake in the lore of Control, so is it so far-fetched to speculate that AWE is Alan Wake's Escape?
A Control content roadmap has confirmed that we'll see Alan WakeDLC in the middle of 2020. Whether these glitches or bugs seem silly or nefarious will be up to individual players, but even the biggest bouts of slowdown don't take away from the game's stellar action and environments.
One more interesting bit of information is that the font for AWE looks very similar to the font for Alan Wake.

For players who have already purchased the main game for PS4, the Season Pass is now available for pre-order, and also includes both expansions (upon release). Both expansions are included as part of Control's season pass but will also be available individually at an as of yet disclosed price.
