Confirmed information boiling on our front desk has it that Ivorian singer, DJ Arafat with a huge fan base in Francophone Africa, has died in a vehicle crash in Abidjan. He was critically injured in the accident and later passed away after being transferred to an Abidjan hospital.

Over 1,000 fans of his work swarmed the hospital after the news broke, chanting the words "Arafat can not die".

During his lifetime, DJ Arafat was known for his dance-provoking sounds and energetic stage performances. His real name is Ange Didier Huon and he was hugely followed in French-speaking western and central African countries, and he has 11 albums to his name.
