The saga of former second-round selection Malik McDowell took another turn Tuesday as video was released of his February altercation with police in MI.

Surveillance video from February 18 recorded by a police dash camera and a camera inside a Marathon gas station in Lathrup Village, Michigan, shows McDowell, 23, confronted by a police officer.

The officer asked for McDowell's license and registration, which he refused to provide.

After repeated warnings that he'll use his taser if McDowell doesn't get on the ground and lay on his stomach, the officer tasers McDowell before three other cops arrive to provide backup and get McDowell secured in handcuffs.

McDowell ignored the officer who told him several times to get down or he would get Tased.

A police report obtained by TMZ stated that officers were issued a warrant to take a blood sample from McDowell although the results of that test were not included.

And as far as McDowell being intoxicated in the case, TMZ Sports has obtained his blood results ... and they show the National Football League player had a BAC of.189 - over TWO TIMES the legal limit.

McDowell faces charges of two counts of felony assaulting and resisting, one misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated, and misdemeanor driving on a suspended license, according to NBC Sports.

Not only was the defensive lineman waived by head coach Pete Carroll last summer after an ATV accident gave him a concussion and facial injuries, he's also been accused of "concealing a stolen truck" this past spring.
