United States firms can sell technology to Huawei : Donald Trump

President Donald Trump meets with German Chancellor Angela Merkel during a meeting on the sidelines of the G-20 summit in Osaka Japan Friday World leaders gather to talk tough issues at G20 summit

Donald Trump has stated he will allow Huawei to purchase products from USA suppliers following talks with Chinese president Xi Jinping at the G20 in Osaka, Japan.

Trump said while he would not lift existing import tariffs, he would refrain from slapping new levies on an additional $300 billion worth of Chinese goods - which would have effectively extended tariffs to everything China exports to the America.

President Donald Trump agreed Saturday to lift some restrictions against USA companies selling high-tech gear to Chinese telecom giant Huawei, says a report. "So if it is not a national security issue, we are allowing them to sell", said Mr. Trump in a statement to the media.

He met with China's President Xi Jinping earlier Saturday but said that the topic of Meng Wanzhou, a Huawei executive held in Canada at the request of the United States, was not discussed.

According to President Trump's statement at a June 29 press conference, the two sides will continue negotiations on the basis of the 95 percent agreement reached before talks broke down at the beginning of last month, which means that future negotiations will focus on issues concerning the remaining 5 percent.

"We're holding on tariffs and they're going to buy farm products".

"Cooperation and dialogue are better than friction and confrontation", he added. Trump, attending an worldwide summit in Japan, announced that negotiations between the two nations would resume.

In fact, Michael Vaughan had earlier tweeted that the team which beats India will go on to win the tournament. As a result, India scored only 28 runs in the first 10 overs - their slowest start in the World Cup so far.

President Donald Trump says he'd "feel very comfortable" crossing the border into North Korea if he meets Kim Jong Un at the heavily-fortified Korean Demilitarized Zone separating the North from South Korea.

"Returning to negotiations is good news for the business community and breathes some much needed certainty into a slowly deteriorating relationship", said Jacob Parker, a vice-president of China operations at the US-China Business Council.

Also, American companies such as Intel or Qualcomm were making a lot of money by selling their products to Huawei. The three countries said that they need to rely on law, worldwide security and sovereignty as the prime concern of the different aspects of the peace talks.

Addressing another contentious issue, Trump said he will now allow USA companies to sell some components to Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei, which last month was put on an American blacklist as a threat to national security. China pledged to retaliate by hiking tariffs on $60 billion worth of USA imports in June.

Talks collapsed in May after Washington accused Beijing of reneging on reform pledges.

At the beginning of their meeting, Xi recalled the start of "ping-pong diplomacy" in 1971 in Nagoya, Japan, where Chinese and USA players had friendly interactions at the 31st World Table Tennis Championships. The Chinese also want the United States to drop its tariffs as a condition of any deal.

In their communique, the leaders warned of growing risks to the world economy but stopped short of denouncing protectionism, calling instead for a free, fair trade environment after talks some members described as hard.
