Sarfaraz Ahmed says ‘morale is still very high’ for embattled Pakistan

World Cup Wahab Riaz Urges Pakistan Teammates To Stick Together Ahead Of South Africa Clash Wahab Riaz picked up three wickets in Pakistan's only win in the World Cup

As if the loss against India and the heavy criticism that followed after it were not enough, Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed looks set to land in further trouble.

However, the forthcoming clash between Pakistan and South Africa at the World Cup 2019, will be a real test of nerves for Sarfaraz Ahmed as his leadership and batting skills will be under radar. One match each of both teams was abandoned earlier due to rain. People will think we are beaten but it's not the first time we have lost to them in a World Cup, so it's fine. Ever since the country's national cricket team suffered a humiliating loss to arch-rivals India in the ongoing cricket World Cup at Old Trafford on June 16, harsh reactions have been flowing in relentlessly.

Sarfaraz's men have everything to play for in their next game against South Africa at Lord's on Sunday.

It was the sort of result Pakistan were secretly praying for since their back-to-back World Cup defeats against Australia and India last week. Whoever lose the game gets knocked out of the tournament. "We are all are backing ourselves, so hopefully we will bounce back in tomorrow's match".

The Proteas have only a mathematical chance of making the semi-final but a win for Pakistan would get them back in the hunt.

"It (loss against India) was tough for us but after the match, we gave our players two days' rest".

Federer survives scare against Tsonga
Federer was able to regain his composure and take the third and final set 7-5 to advance to the quarter-final. Alexander Zverev progressed with a 6-3 7-5 defeat of Steve Johnson and will now come up against David Goffin .

"It´s obviously really important that we win the remaining three games, and if there´s outside chance of qualifying, that would be incredible".

For South Africa, it's about pride at this point as they try to exit what has been a dismal World Cup campaign on a positive note.

"If you talk about the South Africa series, it's different". "Bilateral series, different type of pressure".

"But (for tomorrow's game) we are very hopeful against South Africa".
