Google Stadia isn’t waiting until E3 to make its big announcements

Emmett Howard | 04 June, 2019, 06:55

On Twitter today, Google announced that it will host an event called Stadia Connect on Thursday, June 6th at 9:00am Pacific. Most importantly, we'll learn what games the cloud service will ship with, although it's likely that the available games for Australians will be much broader - Stadia isn't expected to be available here until next year.

Google Stadia certainly sounds great in theory, although the details aren't exactly clear.

Though Google revealed a lot of information about Stadia during its initial announcement, it left several key questions unanswered like its pricing and release date.

Apple just unveiled the Mac Pro desktop we’ve been waiting for
The Pro Display XDR supports P3 and 10-bit colour along with an improved viewing angle and an anti-reflective coating. Kitchen utensil jokes aside, the new Mac Pro harkens back to the mid-2000s Power Mac G5 chassis.

If you've been keeping an eye on the Google Stadia and waiting with bated breath for more information about Google's new game streaming service, your wait is nearly over. Their intention is to build a completely hardware agnostic gaming platform that can be accessed nearly instantly from nearly any device with a screen, whether it's a TV, mobile phone, tablet, computer, or... probably a Tesla at this point.

Google also promise "exciting announcements" and tease that "some news can't wait for #E3". Stadia would have no console to limit ideas or where gamers can play. It's a service, and Google is aiming for it to live on just about any device that can connect to the internet (with a screen that's big enough so you can see what's happening). Google even has a little cute controller to go along with the service.

You can find out more about the Stadia at its official Facebook page, YouTube page, Twitter page, and official website.
