A Chicago White Sox employee was awarded the honor of throwing in the first pitch in a recent Major League Baseball game but but all didn't quite go as planned, as her throw connected squarely with the cameraman tasked with recording the moment.

A Chicago White Sox employee uncorked one of the most wayward first pitches ever when she plunked a team photographer standing close by, between the mound and first base line prior to a game against the Kansas City Royals on May 28, 2019.

White Sox photographer Darren Georgia never saw it coming.

The woman wound up, throwing the ball, which hooked to the left and struck the on-field photographer's camera before bouncing off toward the catcher, Sox pitcher Evan Marshall.
