For many people, the start of a day is usually kicked off with a cup of coffee, providing much needed fuel for the day.

Elina Hypponen said that coffee is one of the most commonly consumed substances that helps to boost energy, wakes us up, and also helps to focuses on work.

These conclusions have led the researchers to believe that consuming a large quantity of coffee is linked to heart issues because of high blood pressure, which is a side effect of overdosing on caffeine.

Having set out to uncover the relation between long-term coffee consumption and heart disease and to explore the potentials of the caffeine-metabolizing gene, the researchers made quite interesting findings.

As per the World Health Organization (WHO), cardiovascular disease is the main cause of death, yet a standout amongst the most preventable. They explain that research shows that excess coffee can harm the heart by raising blood pressure.

In the past, coffee consumption has been attributed to slow growth of prostate cancer, stunting growth, overall improved heart health and a reduced risk of developing neurodegenerative brain diseases, such as Alzheimer's or Parkinson's.

The examination of the health benefits of coffee is one that has been widely assessed, with a similar study by Imperial College London and the International Agency for Research on Cancer finding that participants with the highest consumption of coffee had a lower risk of all-causes of death.

Trump says China will be 'hurt very badly' if no trade deal
China announced it will raise the rate of tariffs imposed on US$60 billion worth of imports from the United States from June 1 onward.

Researchers from the University of South Australia analyzed the health records and self-reported dietary patterns of 347,077 participants between the ages of 37 and 73.

In order to maintain a healthy heart and a healthy blood pressure, people must limit their coffees to fewer than six cups a day, researchers said.

"An estimated three billion cups of coffee are enjoyed every day around the world", Prof Hyppönen says.

In other words drinking coffee can play a role in helping people to live longer.

There are many conflicting health reports out there when it comes to coffee, but according to latest research, a moderate daily dose of caffeine can actually increase your life expectancy.

And they identified which coffee consumption habits increased or lowered the risk of cardiovascular disease.

A similar study on genetic variation and effects of coffee was published past year August by authors E Loftfield and colleagues in the journal JAMA Internal Medicine titled, "Association of Coffee Drinking With Mortality by Genetic Variation in Caffeine Metabolism: Findings From the UK Biobank". Furthermore, the study also found that lowered mortality in connection with coffee consumption was more prevalent in Asia and Europe than in the US.
