According to Variety, he's in talks to star in a big screen adaptation of Nico Walker's bank-robbing novel Cherry.

The Russo brothers landed the rights to Cherry in August of 2018, winning a bidding war through their AGBO production banner by offering $1 million for the project.

Joe and Anthony Russo's Avengers: Endgame, a surefire box office hit when it arrives on April 26th, will be the culmination of the brothers' work in the MCU so far, but it'll also open up other possibilities for their creative expression.

It tells of an Iraq War veteran who comes home only to struggle with PTSD and opioid addiction.

Talking about his visit, Joe said, "I am absolutely thrilled with the passionate response Avengers: Infinity War received in India, and can not wait for you to see Avengers: Endgame". The sibling filmmakers have begun assembling (yes, we definitely meant that as an Avengers pun) the cast for their forthcoming film Cherry, tapping Spider-Man star Holland for the lead role.

Walker was caught and convicted in 2011 and is now in jail.

This film will go on floors once the brothers' Avengers: Endgame, which will reportedly also feature Tom Holland releases next month. In fact, India will be the first stop of his "Avengers: Endgame" promotion tour. Tom Holland was an easy pick for the Russo's, having worked with the young actor in Avengers: Infinity War as well as the upcoming Avengers: Endgame. It comprises 22 films, including Spider-Man: Homecoming and recently released Captain Marvel.

Avengers: Endgame releases in India on 26 April in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
