Kate Miller-Heidke has been crowned the victor of the first ever Eurovision - Australia Decides during the Live TV Final on SBS on Saturday 9 February.

The singer-songwriter and actress won with 87 points in the popular vote and 48 points from the judges, giving her 135 points overall.

Meanwhile, indie pop band Sheppard came in third place during the live decider, with professional judges and the general public having equal sway in the decision. "Electric Fields delivered a stellar performance, and came so close, but it was Kate's night".

Miller-Heidke's stunning performance of Zero Gravity won the public vote at the live TV finals for Eurovision - Australia Decides, held on the Gold Coast over the weekend.
