The lawsuit was filed in June 2018 against Warner Bros. and Behaviour Interactive, and was settled earlier this month, though we are yet to learn the details of the settlement. The app has already been removed from digital storefronts, with the game's servers going offline April 16.

The official Westworld mobile game is now shutting down following the settlement of a lawsuit between Behaviour Interactive and Bethesda. "We are sorry to tell you the park is entering a new phase and will no longer be taking applications for new employees".

There are few details on the specifics of the settlement, which was filed on December 12th, but the extremely brief filing states that Bethesda "dismisses all claims with prejudice", meaning they can not file a lawsuit for the same reason again.

While it is sad to see any prominent game shuttered, this decision does make sense considering that is Westworld Mobile likely illegally contained Fallout Shelter's source code. The game will be removed from the App Store and Google Play on January 15, 2019, and officially closed on April 16, 2019. Even though Westward Mobile is no longer available anywhere, you can snag Fallout Shelter on iOS, Android, PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Players are being encouraged to spend up any remaining in-game currency. The lawsuit alleged that the similarities between the game and Bethesda's Fallout Shelter were too close and that the Westworld game had copied gameplay elements and other features found in the mobile Fallout game.

Both Fallout Shelter and Westworld Mobile were developed by Behavior Interactive, so a situation like this certainly wasn't out of the realm of possibility. Bethesda says an identical glitch was present in pre-release version of Fallout Shelter, and indicates the reuse of code in the Westworld game.
