Dinwiddie converted a three-point play with 28 seconds remaining in overtime and the Nets (23-23) erased a seven-point deficit in the extra session to beat the hosts. He's averaging 42.2 points per game over that span.

He finished with 58 points in the Houston Rockets' overtime loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday, two days after dropping 57 on the Memphis Grizzlies.

Not to be lost among the 50-point milestones is the fact that Harden has scored at least 30 points in 18 consecutive games.

Eric Gordon returned to the Rockets lineup Wednesday night, but did not return after leaving in the third quarter due to right knee soreness.

Despite the disappointing loss, there are a couple positives that Houston can take from the Brooklyn game. PJ Tucker and James Harden missed four free-throws in the final 30 seconds, leaving the door open for the Nets to make a late comeback.

Treveon Graham made a 3 for Brooklyn and Jarrett Allen made a basket but missed a free throw to cut the lead to 142-140.

Gerald Green scored 14 points off the bench while Danuel House Jr. scored 15 points, but this game was all about James Harden who led the way with a season-high 57 points on 17 of 33 shooting.

As for the actual game, the Rockets blew an eight-point lead with 1:02 left in regulation.

Apart from his offense, Harden also tallied 10 rebounds, six assists, one steal, and one block. "They made some big shots".

In the process, they broke their own record for three-point attempts, previously hoisting 61 against the New Orleans Pelicans in December 2016. Gordon scored 10 of his 20 points in the first quarter, leading an 11-0 run to close out the period.

Is that good? Unfortunately, the Rockets couldn't win the game.

The Nets are looking for their first win in Houston since the 2015-16 season to salvage a season split.
