The name of Samsung's foldable display might have just been revealed

Samsung Galaxy A7 Samsung unveils new camera sensors as though right on cue for the Galaxy S10

The report further suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S10 will be compatible with the 5G network as well.

While companies (by companies I mean Apple) are moving from fingerprint scanner to iris scanner Samsung might be planning to ditch the iris scanner in favour of the fingerprint scanner. These include under-the-screen fingerprint scanners, as well as under-the-screen cameras and face sensors for FaceID security systems. Having two screens on its upcoming foldable would obviously allow for more unique features, but would also give Samsung an advantage over single-display designs that don't offer the same amount of screen real estate.

But it's apparently unlikely that the company will be keeping the iris scanner for the cheaper edition even though it probably won't sport the in-display tech. It is confirmed by Bloomberg that there is a rumor circulating around which leaked earlier this month that Samsung is going to remove Headphone jack from Samsung Galaxy S10. Its front camera will reportedly be underneath the display.

Samsung has embedded a fingerprint sensor under the display of its S10, overcoming years-long challenges of mass-producing such a device, the people said.

Samsung is expected to unveil some details of its foldable smartphone at its annual developer conference on November 7-8 in San Francisco.

There are plenty of less expensive phones out there to choose from already, but a particularly appealing new option from Samsung looks set to launch in the near future.

Background: Iris scanning has been part of Samsung's Android flagships since the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7 launched in late summer of 2016. We've heard way less about that, but it's something to keep an eye out for.

Stuck in place, Samsung is optimizing its thin bezel, with a 19.5: 9 screen ratio expected in 2019, promising a better user experience.
