They were met by Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Premier of New South Wales Gladys Berejiklian and David Elliott, minister for veterans affairs, on an overcast Sydney morning.

The Kensington Palace announced about Meghan Markle's pregnancy and this royal news left a smile on everyone's faces.

The Duchess has so far insisted she will not cancel any planned engagements, with the protective Duke appearing to keep a close and concerned eye on her while they are out in public.

It's understood the Duchess has not been suffering morning sickness but has been exhausted after a gruelling schedule of back-to-back official engagements.

Prince Harry spoke about Meghan Markle and their future baby in his speech at the Invictus Games opening ceremony in Sydney on Saturday night.

The tour is an extremely busy one, with the royal couple scheduled to attend more than 70 engagements during a 16-day trip across four countries.

She said: "I would hope that - for the sake of the baby, the family, the world and my dad - that leaving him out of the statement was not intentional".

This is the first major overseas royal tour for the couple since they got married in May.

At half-time, there were a scattering of white handkerchiefs - the traditional expression of discontent - but more whistles. VAR proved their undoing again, ruling Marco Asensio's follow-up offside after Casemiro had headed against the crossbar.

The Duke of Sussex is proving to Invictus Games competitors he is one of them as competition continues on day two.

The couple was supposed to spend their first day attending Invictus Games events on and around Sydney Harbour.

She missed the awards for time trials cycling the morning after the Opening Ceremony.

"She's feeling fine, but resting", a royal source told royal reporter Emily Nash.

However, she was eventually spotted sneaking in through the back door.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were greeting crowds outside the Government House in Melbourne, when a little boy named Gavin handed her a homemade necklace made of pasta.

In a stroll on Bondi, the couple, who are expecting their first child in the northern spring, shook hands and posed for photographs with some of the thousands who turned out for the event, snapping pictures and video with their smartphones.
