Multiple victims during shooting in Maryland county, sheriff says Three people reported killed in Maryland shooting
Patty Aguilar | 21 September, 2018, 06:58

NBC's Pete Williams reported earlier in the day that three were dead and two were injured in a Maryland shooting at a Rite Aid warehouse. Three people remain in serious condition.

The area of the reported shooting includes a church and a business district.

"We do not have a motive for this senseless crime", he said, but terrorism did not appear likely.

The Associated Press quoted an unidentified law enforcement official as saying three people were killed in the incident. He said she's usually nice.

"And she went off ... she didn't have a particular target". No shots were fired by police officers.

The scene is still active, according to Harford Sheriff's Office. The shooting began outside the business and continued inside, he said.

Gahler said the assailant apparently was armed with a single handgun "and no shots fired by any officers responding to the scene".

A law enforcement official said authorities were working their way through the distribution centre to clear the facility.

Trump Orders Declassification Of Key Russia Docs, Text Messages
President Trump, however, has the ability to supersede these agencies and remove the redactions entirely, if desired. Parts of the Carter Page surveillance application were made public in July, but they were heavily redacted.

"That's why a lot of people weren't able to get in contact with their families because you're not allowed to have a phone at a warehouse", She said.

"Everyone was screaming, running this way and that", he said. "I didn't know which way to run", he said. He says there are multiple injuries and multiple fatalities. "At that point, they blocked us in and we tried to turn around", he said. Another person is being treated for gunshot wounds at a separate hospital.

Rite Aid spokesman Pete Strella said in a statement that those at the company felt "deeply saddened" by the events and would make grief counselors available to employees "as long as they are needed".

Alexi Scharmann told WBAL-TV that her mother, who works inside the Liberty building at the distribution center, texted her about a shooter inside the facility.

A source close to the investigation said the woman - identified as Snochia Moseley - was a disgruntled employee.

She added, "I have no idea what's going on. She just came in to pick a fight with someone".

She said her mother had gone into a bathroom before going on break when the shooting started.

"Unfortunately in today's world we have active shooter drilling, and drills", Harford County Chief Executive Barry Glassman told the news conference.
