British police believe they have identified the suspects who carried out the Novichok nerve agent attack on a former Moscow double agent and his daughter and that they are Russian, the Press Association news agency reported on Thursday.

"Investigators believe they have identified the suspected perpetrators of the Novichok attack", the unidentified source close to the investigation said, according to PA. I want to hear from Scotland Yard, from the Foreign Office.

"They (the investigators) are sure they (the suspects) are Russian". As of now, there are no reports of arrests.

Skripal and his daughter, Yulia, were found collapsed on a bench in the southern English city of Salisbury in March after they were poisoned with Novichok.

The identification of the two suspects came after investigators combed through months of surveillance camera footage from United Kingdom airports and from Salisbury, where the Skripals were poisoned in an attack the British government blames on Russian Federation.

Earlier this month, two Britons, a 44-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man, fell critically ill after handling what police called a contaminated item near the site of the March attack on Sergei and Yulia Skripal. Dawn Sturgess later died while her partner Charlie Rowley remains in hospital. Ms Sturgess died on July 8.

The attack on the Skripals plunged relations between Russian Federation and Britain to a new low, and sparked a wider diplomatic crisis that saw Russian Federation and Britain's Western allies expelling hundreds of diplomats.

Trump said he was unconcerned that his remarks might spark criticism as he was merely stating long-held personal views. In the CNBC interview, Trump called Powell a "very good man". "I don't really - I am not happy about it", he said.

Both Mr Skripal and his daughter survived the attack after being treated in hospital.

Coroner David Ridley said the cause of death would not be given until further tests are completed.

They're not known to be spies or to have been used in other attacks before.

On Wednesday, global chemical weapons experts completed their investigations in Amesbury, where they sought to identify whether the substance that poisoned the couple was from the same batch used against the Skripals.

Officers have now identified two "fresh identities" involved in the assassination attempt and the subsequent accidental murder of Ms Sturgess.

They deployed a team to "independently determine the nature of the substance" alleged to have resulted in the death of Sturgess and the poisoning of Rowley.

He added, "We still work with official information, not with press reports".
