Detroit-based Quicken Loans is calling its event the Rocket Mortgage Classic on June 27-30.

The FedExCup Playoffs will move from four events to three next year, featuring the Northern Trust, the BMW Championship and the Tour Championship.

The PGA TOUR, on behalf of the International Federation of PGA Tours, announced in April that Memphis' hometown event will take on a new identity as the World Golf Championships-FedEx St. Jude Invitational, beginning with the 2018-19 PGA TOUR Season.

PGA confirmed the place and time of the new Detroit tournament on Tuesday morning with the release of their 2018-2019 schedule. The final WGC event of the season will be held July 22-28, 2019 at TPC Southwind in Memphis, replacing the FedEx St. Jude Classic in that city. Here's the full PGA schedule. The FedEx Cup playoffs will end a month earlier and be condensed from four events to three, with the first tournament - the Northern Trust - rotating between NY and Boston. Key to the changes was the PGA Championship moving from August to May, and The Players Championship returning to March.

Belgium star Hazard: I used to support France growing up
Blaise Matuidi was suspended for France's 2-0 quarterfinal win over Uruguay, but he is expected to return to the lineup. It's going to be a thrilling match no doubt and don't be surprised if this one ends up going the full distance.

Two new tournaments will be part of the new season, back-to back events to be played in Detroit and Minneapolis in late June and early July.

Two tournaments - the Houston Open and A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier (above) - will be played in the fall moving forward and will next be part of the PGA Tour schedule during the 2019-2020 season. The move was originally announced past year. The TPC Boston, meanwhile, will rotate with a New York-area course every other year for the opening FedEx Cup playoff event.

Still to be determined is whether the PGA Tour will change the structure for the FedEx Cup, and how this new schedule will work in 2020 when the Olympics are in Japan from July 24 to August 9. It will be followed by the 3M Open in Minnesota and the John Deere Classic.

While The Open, to be played at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland next year, becomes the last of the four majors, it will be a mad dash to the finish for PGA Tour players.
