Dumbo teaser: Meet a flying elephant in this new Tim Burton live action film

As Disney goes into its animation vault to pluck their beloved features and turn them into live-action tentpoles, despite making enough money to turn Mickey's eyes green, the results have been mixed at best. This time its fan-favourite filmmaker Tim Burton who is driving the affair, and we've just got our first real look at his efforts courtesy of the first teaser trailer. But while Dumbo has some of those familiar, striking images (the jail cell, the trembling eye, the floppy ears), the live-action Dumbo is a bit of a departure from the original film.
Tim Burton, obviously, is definitely the right person for the job when it comes to reviving Disney's Dumbo vibes. It's also a surprising departure for Burton, whose name has become synonymous with a Gothic flair and kabuki-mask faces.
