For changes over last year's KeyOne, BlackBerry highlights an improved physical keyboard with Speed Key, which allows you to utilize shortcuts and gestures to open apps regardless of what screen you're on.

Last year's Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and measly 3GB RAM have been replaced with a Snapdragon 660 and impressive 6GB RAM. Both sensors are 12-megapixel, with the software featuring a Portrait Mode and the hardware capable of "optical superzoom".

Like its predecessor, the BlackBerry Key2 features an aluminum frame, a textured back, and a 4.5-inch display (1620×1080 resolution, 434 PPI, and 3:2 aspect ratio).

They said was an essential forum for finding common ground and resolving differences. In fact, Canada wasn't even a country until 1867.

Another huge area of improvement on the BlackBerry Key2 is the keyboard. The QWERTY still supports touch-gestures like scrolling and Flick Typing for predictive texting, as also 52 app shortcuts via short and long press. Oh, and the headphone jack remains. The promise is up to two days of battery life; the KEY2 charges via USB-C. The KEY2 also comes preloaded with a DTEK app that shows the phone's overall security rating and provides insight into how apps are using data, as well as managing app permissions. A new Proactive Health check feature promises to make that scanning process even easier. A second application, Locker, creates private folders for documents that enable users to prevent them from being uploaded to the cloud. On the KEYone, you could use them only from the home screen. Firefox Focus, Mozilla's privacy browser, is present too.

"Although there are many different smartphones for consumers to choose from today, most tend to offer very similar experiences without much distinction from one to the next", said Alain Lejeune, head of TCL's BlackBerry Mobile division.

In the US, Canada, Europe, Japan, and several other tegions, there'll be a single-SIM version. Although the KEY2 will be available for buying in the West this month, in global markets (including in India), the phone will be available for buying in July, BlackBerry has confirmed. A dual-SIM model will be sold in select regions, like the Middle East, APAC, India, and Indonesia.
