Meanwhile, HTC Vive creator Phil Chen have been quoted as saying that the company may consider cryptocurrency as a means of payment for the upcoming multiple blockchain-powered phone. It'll sport a universal wallet and an onboard secure hardware enclave, TheNextWeb reported.

There's no doubt that HTC's trying something different compared to most other Android OEMs with Exodus, but I'm not sure this is the product that'll revitalize the company's mobile business. The phone is able to log to the blockchain with different protocols to work with different services.

The phone, revealed by The Next Web, is called Exodus.

It is worth noting that HTC is not the first to think of a blockchain powered phone - Sirin Labs' $1,000 blockchain smart phone, which was announced last September, is slated to be released in October this year.

Turkey's solar power production saw a yearly increase of 175 percent to 2.8 million megawatt-hours in 2017. The move is a bold and visionary one, as stated by an associate at the Energy Commission.

HTC reportedly is hoping to build a native blockchain network with all Exodus phones acting as nodes to ease crypto-trading among phone users.

In other words, the Exodus device will act as a way for users to connect to a decentralized network, as well as an actual storage option for users to "carry" their cryptocurrencies. Honestly, I would find it extremely paradoxical if HTC didn't accept cryptocurrency for its blockchain-powered phone. Chen, who now holds the title of "chief decentralized officer", will head all of the firm's cryptocurrency and blockchain-related initiatives. The company said they'd like to eventually support the "entire blockchain ecosystem", and added that they'll announce new partnerships in the months to come.

In terms of specifications, the Finney blockchain phone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.

While HTC's phone isn't available yet, it's rumoured that the company may sell the phone in exchange for cryptocurrency. Additionally, trading in most cryptocurrencies will still incur mining fees - even on blockchain devices.
