Rotondo says he's got a game plan. although we doubt his parents will like his timeline.

The 30-year-old from Syracuse, New York just lost a court battle against his parents, who were trying to force him to leave home eight years after he moved back in when he lost his job. Neither did the lure of independence, or the weight of his 30 years.

Rotondo's parents, Christina and Mark Rotonda, took the unusual step of turning to the court after their son ignored repeated requests to move out.

They began giving him notices as early as February 2, 2018.

In another note, obtained by WSTM, the parents offer him $1,100 "so you can find a place to stay" and suggest that for money, he could get a job or sell some of his belongings like his stereo and weapons.

While declining to say how old his son is, Rotondo conceded losing custody of the boy last September and has since been locked in courtroom antics to try to get the boy back.

He gently corrected Rotondo by pointing to an appellate court decision ruling that family members don't get special treatment absent rare circumstances.

The hearing was pretty wild, according to these reports.

The judge also asked the state's protective services to check on the well-being of Michael Rotondo's parents, Christina and Mark Rotondo, according to WSYR. "They don't provide laundry or food", he said.

Michael's defence was that he "has never been expected to contribute to household expenses, or assisted with chores or the maintenance of the premises and claims that this is a simply a component of his living agreement", according to court documents seen by U.S. broadcaster WSTM.

"As [Michael]'s parents sat quietly in the court gallery, [Michael] appeared to crave the spotlight". At one point, the judge called Rotondo up to the bench. [Michael] noted that microphones placed by the media were on the lawyer's podium. Another message urged him to either fix his auto, a Volkswagen Passat, or take it down off of the "ramps" that it was on at the Rotondos' house.

A man who was being sued by his own parents for refusing to leave home has been ordered out by a judge. "I'm not dragging my business into my business", he said with a smile.

When asked what the business was, outside court he replied: "My business is my business".

The parents filed an official eviction petition on May 7.

Attorney Anthony Adorante said it would give Michael reasonable time to vacate.
