Former U.S. Open champion golfer Lucas Glover was allegedly attacked by his wife after playing badly in this weekend's Players Championship near St. Augustine, Fla., DailyMail.com can reveal.

Krista was arrested for domestic violence.

The report also noted that there were lacerations on the arms of both Lucas and his mother, Hershey Glover, who was found with blood on her clothes.

Krista also allegedly threatened to leave him with their children and that he would "never see their kids again", the report said.

And to complete the trifecta of abominable behavior, Krista made a scene when authorities tried to get her into the police auto.

"We are aware of the situation and Lucas informed us of his statement, which has since been posted to his Twitter account", the PGA Tour said in a statement.

According to the Associated Press, Krista Glover was arrested on Saturday night on misdemeanor charges of domestic violence battery and resisting arrest without violence.

When Lucas's mother was interviewed, she told deputies she tried to stop a loud argument between husband and wife over the golfer's performance, but Krista turned against her and hit her repeatedly.

The report said Krista Glover told police she was attacked by her mother-in-law. When police arrived, they found Lucas and Krista on the porch "in a verbal altercation". She reportedly attempted to wrap her legs around the auto door, but deputies were able to push her in.

"Wait till the tour (PGA) hears about this", she yelled at the deputies, according to the report.

"This is why cops get shot in the face", she told deputies.

While trying to put her in the auto, Krista allegedly wrapped her legs and feet around the door and frame of the auto, preventing the lower half of her body from getting into the vehicle. Wait till I talk with the judge, you will be f***ng fired over this'.

Lucas took to Twitter Tuesday to acknowledge there was argument and that "everyone is fine". He says he is comfortable the judicial system will be able to clear his wife. "Of course, we are here to provide support to Lucas and his family if needed; however, we are also respecting their request for privacy during this time", the statement read.
