Dez Bryant is Signing With The Green Bay Packers Says Jason Witten

- Not that it should come as much of a shock, but the chances that Dez Bryant ends up in Green Bay took a hit on Tuesday.

This is good news for the Vikings, who won't have to go against Bryant twice a season, unless he signs with the Bears or Lions, which seems unlikely.

The offseason capture of former All-Pro Graham may signal a move away from that philosophy that longtime GM Ted Thompson stuck to for so many years, but the need for another wideout isn't glaring in Green Bay. With Geronimo Allison, a former undrafted free agent set to be the Packers boundary receiver opposite Davante Adams, it should be somewhat obvious Bryant is better. Most fans and media members believe that Bryant would prefer to sign a one-year deal to prove himself and then test free agency again next offseason.

According to Cowboys great Jason Witten, Bryant could well end up with the Green Bay Packers before the start of the season.

The former Dallas Cowboys tight end predicted former teammate and now unemployed receiver Dez Bryant would sign with the Packers, calling Green Bay a "great fit" for the Cowboys' all-time leader in touchdown catches, but the team isn't expected to pursue him, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Unfortunately for Bryant, the only interest that has came his way since being cut from the Cowboys has been from the Ravens who offered him a contract, but he turned it down.

"I still believe Dez can high-point the football as good as any other receiver in the NFL", Witten added. Aaron Rodgers, he throws that back-shoulder throw so well.

Bryant, himself, has already said he doesn't see himself in a Packers uniform, and Witten admitted that his prediction isn't based on any insight. I think that's a great spot for him.

Witten named one other team as a fit for Bryant: the New Orleans Saints.
