The Israeli military on Thursday threatened Hamas with a tougher response to its another planned Friday demonstration on Israel's border with Gaza.

Palestinians have pitched five camps near the border for the protest.

Hundreds of protesters suffered other injuries, including tear gas inhalation.

Friday's clashes came a week after 19 Palestinian protesters were killed in clashes that happened on March 30.

The demonstrators have revived a long-standing demand for the right of the return of Palestinian refugees to towns and villages from where the family fled or where driven from when the state of Israel was created.

The protesters gathered Saturday outside of British prime minister's residence on Downing Street and also voiced their anger at UK's silence versus the abuses being inflicted on Palestinians by the Israeli forces as the country's Labour Party Leader Jeremy Corbyn slammed Western inaction over the regime's killing of over 30 Palestinians during anti-occupation protests in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Israel has defended its use of live fire against protesters, despite facing mounting global criticism, and is even preparing to ramp up its response if demonstrations continue next week, Haaretz reported on Saturday. More than 1,600 others were wounded.

Right now, the situation along the border fences is calm although tensions are still running high.

"This indicates that security forces used excessive force".

Facebook backs political ad bill, sets limits on 'issue ads'
In a Facebook post last night, Mark Zuckerberg said the social media giant will begin to require people who manage "large" pages to be verified.

Israel says most of those killed were militants.

"Firing live ammunition into crowds of unarmed civilians is illegal and inhumane and can not be tolerated".

He further told the demonstrators that "the killing and wounding of yet more unarmed Palestinian protesters yesterday by Israeli forces in Gaza is an outrage", underlining that "firing live ammunition into crowds of unarmed civilians is illegal and inhumane and can not be tolerated". Although it is part of the Israeli-occupied territories, the Strip was severed from the West Bank and East Jerusalem when Israel was created.

Gaza's economy has been devastated by years of Israeli military attacks and a joint Israeli-Egyptian blockade.

Palestinian resistance faction Hamas on Saturday condemned the US for vetoing a UN Security Council resolution calling for an investigation into Israel's acts of violence in the Gaza Strip.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) arrested an unarmed Palestinian man on Saturday after he crossed the border fence from the Gaza Strip into Israel.

"Gaza will not starve and will not abandon its original national objective", he said, surrounded by hundreds of supporters.

Violence is expected to continue in the run-up to May 15, when Palestinians mark the Nakba Day, the day of their catastrophe, which coincides with Israel's 70th Independence Day.

The protesters are demanding that refugees be allowed to return to ancestral lands that are now in Israel.
