GAZA CITY, Palestinian Territories: Israeli forces shot dead two Palestinians while around 250 others were wounded in clashes Friday as thousands protested along the Gaza Strip's border, the enclave's health ministry said.

Israel has also banned the entry of tyres into the Gaza Strip, the head of a Palestinian committee for coordinating imports to Gaza said.

"This is a travesty for the Palestinian people that the Hamas Government is encouraging its people to attack Israel, it is encouraging its people to commit acts of violence", he said.

"The masses of our people arrayed along the border will resist plans to terminate the Palestinian cause", Hazem Qassem, a spokesman for Hamas (which has governed the Gaza Strip since 2007), told sources on Friday.

Hamas' Gaza leader, Yehya Al-Sinwar, spoke at a protest encampment to praise those who turned out to confront the "enemy who besieges us". Israel's Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman warned that anyone getting close to the border fence in Gaza was endangering their life, the BBC reported. The protesters burned tires near the fence, causing thick black smoke to rise into the air.

Palestinian protestors burn tires during clashes with Israeli security forces on the Gaza-Israel border, east of Gaza City on April 6, 2018.

Yaser Murtaja (30), a cameraman for Palestinian Ain Media, was the 29th Palestinian killed in the week-long protests.

Israeli military sources said it was believed that everyone who was hit by IDF gunfire had been engaged in violence.

They torched large piles of tyres, engulfing the area in black smoke meant to shield them from Israeli snipers.

Israel claimed Hamas is using the demonstrations as cover to try and infiltrate its border.

And it seems that the success of Face ID has prompted Apple to begin working on ways to use your phone without touching it at all. Apple has been working on their ARM-based processors now available inside iOS devices, the Apple Watch , and the Apple TV.

The six other deaths included three gunmen killed in what Israel said were attempts to attack the border and three men who were struck by Israeli tank fire.

More than 30 Palestinians were killed and hundreds more wounded by Israeli fire in mass protests on Friday and the previous week.

"We echo the call by the UN Secretary-General for an independent and transparent investigation into these incidents, with a view to holding accountable those responsible".

Palestinians say protesters had been shot whereas posing no risk to troopers and rights teams have criticised Israel's use of stay fireplace.

It also said explosive devices and firebombs were thrown, adding that soldiers opened fire "in accordance with the rules of engagement".

The death toll from Friday's round of clashes between Palestinians and IDF forces on the Gaza-Israel border has risen to ten overnight, said Gaza medical officials Saturday morning.

"Civilians must be able to exercise their right to demonstrate peacefully".

Demonstrators are demanding that Palestinian refugees be granted their right to return to their towns and villages in historical Palestine, from which they were driven in 1948 to make way for the state of Israel.

The protests, created to last six weeks, are in support of refugees, including those in the Palestinian enclave who want to return to their former homes in what is now Israel.
