Toy R Us was one of the most high-profile retail casualties in the first quarter of the year. The Mansfield outlet will close the next day on Saturday, April 21 and The Riverside outlet will shut on Tuesday, April 23.

The US chain went into administration in February after bids to save the company were unsuccessful.

Toys "R" Us has been working with Lazard Ltd.to solicit bids for its stake in the Asian unit from potential buyers including Chinese private equity firms, people with knowledge of the matter have said.
