Mercedes Schlapp USA media: Trump to fire national security adviser

President Donald Trump has chose to fire his National Security Advisor Lt. Gen HR McMaster and is scouting to find a replacement before the planned high-profile North Korea meetings, according to United States media reports.

The White House is not planning any "immediate personnel changes" and is focused on work, chief of staff John Kelly has assured President Donald Trump's senior staff, amid a flurry of recent departures of top officials that have jolted the Trump administration.

White House spokesperson Sarah Sanders denied the reports during a media briefing on Friday. He fired Secretary of State Rex Tillerson via Twitter this week.

The White House has confirmed that President Trump is negotiating with different countries on possible new US tariffs on imports of steel and aluminum.

With speculation about Mr McMaster's future growing, Ms Sanders gave a vote of confidence to the national security adviser, saying that she had spoken to the President the night before and no changes were coming.

Russia Expels 23 Diplomats After Salisbury Poisoning Attack
Russian court officials at the time said he'd received at least $100,000 for his work for MI6, the British intelligence service. Russian Federation has also said it is opening a probe into the murder of Glushkov, who was found dead at his London home.

The fact that the comments were made, even if off-the-record, to a room full of reporters and White House officials stunned The Beast's sources, especially given the fact that Kelly is regarded as "one of the more mature members of Trump's top brass".

But the president is privately weighing more changes, expressing frustration with certain advisers and considering possible replacements.

Kelly reportedly told the group that Tillerson, who had contracted a stomach bug during an African diplomatic trip, was using a toilet when the chief of staff told him the news. Trump personal assistant John McEntee was removed from his job and escorted off White House grounds - then quickly handed a job on Trump's re-election campaign. He has told confidants he wants to rid himself of staffers who hold him back.

McMaster is not expected to be ousted immediately, the Post reported.

According to four people with knowledge of White House deliberations, Mr Trump is moving toward replacing national security adviser HR McMaster but has not settled on exact timing or a successor.
