The Indianapolis Colts have officially agreed to terms with former Detriot Lions tight end Eric Ebron on a two-year deal worth up to $15M.
Smith High School graduate and former Carolina Tar Heel, was released last week by the Detroit Lions, the team that made him a first-round pick in 2014. If Andrew Luck (shoulder) is able to play a majority of the upcoming campaign, Ebron could benefit further in weekly box scores. It is possible Ebron will see time in the slot this season.
Ebron was a servicable tight end in his first four seasons but never caught more than five touchdowns in a single year.
Ebron appeared in all 16 games for the Lions in 2017, making nine starts, and he finished the year with 53 receptions for 574 yards and four touchdowns.
