Steve Smith led Australian side is now in shambles for their own wrongdoings on the field on the third day of the Cape Town Test match on Saturday.

Already, captain Steve Smith and beleaguered second-in-command David Warner have stepped down from their leadership duties for the remainder of the series after admitting senior players had devised the plan; rookie opener Bancroft himself was charged with ball tampering and could face a significant fine.

In what looks like a CCTV footage, Bancroft can clearly be seen putting something in his left pocket.

After Bancroft's involvement in the ball-tampering scandal in Cape Town, footage of similarly suspicious pocket behaviour was observed.

Meanwhile, England paceman Stuart Broad says he doesn't believe the Australian cricket team tampered with the ball during the sides' recent Ashes series - and can't understand why they'd resort to cheating at all.

Australian cricket was thrown into turmoil on Saturday after fielder Cameron Bancroft admitted he had used sticky tape and bits of grit to try and affect the surface of the ball in Cape Town as South Africa extended their big lead.

"I saw Steve Smith say it was the first time they have tried it [ball tampering]", he said. You look through virtually all of those tests and they reverse swung the ball in conditions that you wouldn't expect the ball to reverse, so I don't understand why they've changed their method for this one game.

China calls on US to 'cease and desist' from endangering trade relations
USA stocks fell sharply early Thursday amid worries that the US action could provoke a stern response from China. The U.S. delegation cast the only "no" vote, while Britain, Japan, and Australia were among those abstaining.

"Just from the outside, it looks like Australia have started a lot of fights and are moaning when someone comes back". Now a while ago, a reporter from Australia posted a shocking video where Camron Bancroft was seen putting sugar in his pocket during the Ashes in January.

He was cleared by the match referee and England coach Trevor Bayliss hit out at "Pommie bashing" by the Australian media.

He said: "I don't know".

"Any England players who've toured Australia can laugh at those comments because some of the things we hear on the pitch by Australian supporters, known as banter, well having toured South Africa I know it's worse than South Africa".

Broad referred to the 2013 England tour of Australia when Lehmann "basically asked the country to send an opposition player home crying".

The five test Ashes series played in Australia between November and December proved to be a one-sided contest with the home team winning 4-0 with two of the victories by an innings.
