The Panasonic Lumix GX9 is a Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera with a 20.3-megapixel sensor that leaves out a low-pass filter for increased sharpness. The Lumix GX9 with a 12-60mm equivalent F3.6-5.6 kit lens is priced at $999 and will be available in March. That allows for greater detail, according to the company, and Panasonic says its Venus engine still minimizes any unwanted moire effects. There are nevertheless new features aplenty in the GX9, but admittedly a few areas in which features had to be dialed back a little too, as you'll learn in our just-published and in-progress Panasonic GX9 review!

The LUMIX GX9 is capable of shooting 4K videos at either 30 or 24 frames per second, though you if you don't mind the drop in resolution, you can bump frame rate up to 60 fps by recording in 1080p. A 5-axis Hybrid Optical Image Stabilizer system helps compensate for hand shake (especially at the telephoto end) when shooting photos and videos. Sequence composition combines multiple action shots into a single composite image with a pretty easy, intuitive interface.

The GX9 brings with it a new Live View Finder (LVF), which is integrated into the camera body and tilts to give you comfortable options for composition. The 3-inch rear touchscreen LCD isn't fully articulating like the GX8's, unfortunately, but tilts up 80 degrees and down 45 degrees for more flexible shooting - unless you're taking a selfie or trying to vlog and see your frame. That viewfinder LCD has a resolution of 2.760 million dots and magnification of 0.7x.

Looking at some alternate time periods, the 12 month price index is 0.55109, the 24 month is 0.62306, and the 36 month is 0.51643. With 1.13 million avg volume, 16 days are for Diebold Incorporated (NYSE:DBD)'s short sellers to cover DBD's short positions.

There's still the built-in flash from the GX85, as well. The first is L.Monochrome D mode, which promises "dynamic monochrome photos" that put heavy emphasis on the contrast between highlights and shadows.

The camera further features Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi connectivity, and instant image sharing - meaning when the camera is connected to a smartphone or tablet that has the Panasonic Image App for iOS or Android, users can shoot, browse and share images remotely. The model also offers AC/USB power charging, and it is available in both black and in a shade of silver that is more akin to a gunmetal grey color.
