The New York Attorney General's office has filed a civil rights lawsuit against Harvey Weinstein's company and its founders.

Schneiderman said the company executives and board repeatedly failed to protect employees from then-chief executive Harvey Weinstein.

Schneiderman said the sale was "imminent" and that it could go through without giving Weinstein victims a chance to be properly compensated.

"If or when The Weinstein Company is sold or liquidated, victims of abuse deserve a cut of the action", according to the Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit.

Last month an investment group began exclusive negotiations for the company's assets. The suit references the Weinstein Company's COO, but does not use Glasser's name.

Local amateur Min Woo Lee set a cracking early pace in the matchplay rounds, shooting birdies on 10 of his first 11 holes. His win is made all the sweeter after a string of near misses in tournaments on both the Asian Tour and European Tour.

Harvey Weinstein is now the target of a lawsuit brought by the State Attorney General of NY.

Weinstein, the disgraced movie mogul, was ousted from his role at The Weinstein Company a year ago after numerous reports of sexual misconduct.

One employee told the company HR department that "only female executives are put in these positions with actresses with whom Weinstein has a 'personal friendship, ' which to my understanding means he has either had or wants to have sexual relations with them".

Harvey Weinstein has been accused by almost 100 women of sexual harassment, bullying, or rape. When the employee said no, he cajoled, badgered and insisted until she relented and, against her wishes, submitted to massaging him out of fear of employment-based retaliation.

Representatives for the company and the Weinstein brothers couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
