Abdullah was received on his arrival at the airport on Thursday by Pakistan's President Mamnoon Hussain. President Mamnoon Hussain and underscored that the resolution of long standing issues of Kashmir and Palestine were imperative for global peace and security.

The two leaders also reviewed the regional situation, with particular focus on the Middle East in the aftermath of recognition of Jerusalem by Washington as the capital of Israel.

Agreeing with the proposal of the President, King Abdullah II said increase in bilateral trade was necessary for further strengthening the economies of the both countries and said it would be taken up at the meeting of Joint Ministerial Commission in March.
