Chelsea, Courtois' agent reveals: 'I am always in contacts with Real Madrid'

In football you never know – Chelsea talisman Hazard hints towards Real Madrid move Hazard recently won the title of best Belgian in foreign league defeating fellow countryman Kevin De Bruyne

Hazard's current contract expires in 2020 but talks have repeatedly stalled over a new deal leading to speculation he is considering a move to the Spanish capital where Real Madrid are set to undergo a major summer recruitment drive.

Speaking to Belgian publication Sport/Foot Magazine, Courtois said: "We (Chelsea) agreed to meet again in February because the club had more urgent issues to deal with in January".

"What is certain is that I will one day return to Madrid".

"My two children live there with their mom".

"It's well known my personal situation is connected to the city of Madrid".

"Whenever I have the opportunity, I try to return to Spain".

In football you never know – Chelsea talisman Hazard hints towards Real Madrid move

"As a situation, it's not always easy". Yes, my heart is in Madrid.

That will most likely come via a transfer to Real Madrid, but, as things stand, he's still a Chelsea player, and all he can do is stop the ball from going into the back of the net at Stamford Bridge for the time being. It is logical and understandable.

The Belgian played a crucial role in Chelsea's league victory last season, as their dogged defensive style helped them clinch the title by a seven-point margin.

"He's a fantastic player and he will score a lot of goals for us, I'm sure". It is there that I became an adult. "Only... Thibaut is intelligent, well read, knows what he wants (he doesn't hide that it's Real Madrid), and is aware that he is not the only candidate (David De Gea being the other). And he needed to take that step that they usually demand at the Santiago Bernabeu before making a signing", he added.

Hazard was key as the Blues cantered to Premier League glory last term in Antonio Conte's first season in charge and though Chelsea's title defence has fallen away this time around, the Belgium global has been in imperious form. Normally, there is no problem, I will extend. The signs are positive.
