Monday, Jan. 15 through Wednesday, Jan. 17, the Office of Multicultural Student Services (OMSS) held a series of events, exhibits and discussions to celebrate King.

From picking up trash to gardening to even graffiti removal, the students spent their day off from school as a day of service to honor Martin Luther King, Jr. Some gave sweat, some gave hope, and some gave their lives in the struggle for a better world.
Marchers chose the courthouse in honor of the many courthouse's Dr. King and other activists protested at during The Civil Rights Movement.
Organizers say it highlights how far we've come since the death of Dr. King and how far we still have to go.
