A courtroom hearing in OH turned into a tragic scene after a 16-year-old was fatally wounded by a Sheriff's deputy.

The shooting occurred in a juvenile court in Columbus just before 1 p.m., said Chief Deputy Rick Minerd of the Franklin County Sheriff's Department.

Minerd says the deputy fired a shot during that fight and the boy was hit.

Minerd didn't identify the deputy, saying the investigation is ongoing.

Geraldine Haynes, the victim's grandmother, that the ordeal started when deputies told the boy's mother to get out of the courthouse without letting her get her stuff.

The teen was taken to a hospital about a mile away, where he died.

Arsenal should cease Alexis Sanchez becoming a member of Manchester United
But while Wenger confirmed he expected the situation to be resolved soon, he said he did not know what the final outcome would be. Arsenal will do everything they can to stop these players going to United.

Geraldine Haynes tells the Dispatch her grandson was not resisting when he was shot, but Keith Ferrell, executive vice president of the Fraternal Order of Police Capital City Lodge No. 9, says those involved in the fight were trying to grab the deputy's handgun, Taser, or both. The cop had his hands by his side and the gun went off.

Jennifer Brisco, the lawyer for Haynes, tells the Dispatch that the deputy had threatened to arrest Haynes because he was becoming emotional.

Minerd said the sheriff's office extends its condolences to the family of Haynes and wishes the injured deputy a quick recovery.

The boy had been charged with aggravated menacing for allegedly, and then threatening to shoot them, according to court records reviewed by WBNS. He wouldn't speculate on what exactly happened. "Now he won't have a chance", the grieving grandmother said.

The sheriff's office immediately requested crime scene assistance from the state Bureau of Criminal Investigation and two employees of the agency were assigned.
