'Nobody knows what will happen' - Wenger on Sanchez

Sanchez was close to a move to Manchester City in the summer but the South American's proposed move fell through after Arsenal failed to sign Monaco forward Thomas Lemar as the number seven's replacement.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger remains hopeful that Alexis Sanchez will continue to give his best for the club as he enters the final months of his contract, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The Chilean scored twice in last week's win at Crystal Palace but it was notable that several of his team-mates refused to celebrate his goals with him.

However, Guardiola believes Sanchez will remain where he is.

Henry has a point, but Wenger is clearly sick and exhausted of analysing every little thing about Sanchez, and who can blame him.

Henry: "You're not here for Alexis Sanchez, you're here for Arsenal".

He is accused of murdering a 20-year-old man who was pronounced dead at a flat in Bartholomew Court, Islington, at around 3.30am. He urged anyone with information about the attacks to contact police or Crimestoppers.

But it is the increasingly bitter atmosphere in the Arsenal dressing room which may force City's hand.

His goals and assists - he provided the cross for Olivier Giroud's equaliser at Southampton and scored against Liverpool on December 22 - often mask poor overall performances.

"It looks like Alexis Sanchez has just been suffocated by being asked to stay", Keown told Premier League Tonight on BT Sport.

However, with the dressing room atmosphere involving Alexis at Arsenal becoming more hostile, Felicevich has been in contact with City chiefs in recent days, Goal reports, to make a case for a January deal.

And Wenger put a straight bat to questions over the player's future.
