Probably one of the biggest and most expensive shows Netflix has produced in the past two years, "Altered Carbon" finally has a release date! Death is merely an inconvenience in the new sci-fi noir series Altered Carbon.

The first trailer for a series Netflix has kept quite low-key up till now, Altered Carbon, was released on Monday. The teaser also reveals the series' release date - February 2, 2018.

Channelling a combination of vibes and visuals from the likes of Blade Runner 2049, Ex Machina, and Deus Ex Human Revolution, Altered Carbon centres around the idea that humans can transfer their consciousness into fresh biologically grown human bodies thereby cheating death.

The show, based on the 2002 sci-fi novel by Richard K. Morgan, revolves around human beings who can digitally store their personalities.

Jackson, Mayfield, Love named Heisman Trophy finalists
The finalists were announced on ESPN's "Monday Night Countdown" by former Heisman winners Desmond Howard and Charles Woodson. Barkley started the game at Ohio State with an incredible 97-yard kick return for a touchdown.

Ultimately, Altered Carbon is going to be that show. The protagonist Takeshi Kovacs (Joel Kinnaman) is an elite soldier who becomes a revolutionary.

Altered Carbon follows Takeshi Kovacs (played by Suicide Squad's Joel Kinnaman), a former United Nations elite soldier, who is hired to solve the apparent murder of Laurens Bancroft, an affluent Meth (someone who has lived and died more times than is common).

Set in the dystopian world, where human personalities can be stored digitally and downloaded into new bodies, the series tracks the hardboiled adventures of Takeshi Kovacs, a former United Nations elite soldier. His consciousness was stored away and he is awoken centuries later to solve a murder.

The series is set to drop on Netflix on February 2, 2018. The cast includesJoel Kinnaman, James Purefoy, and Tamara Taylor. It's premiering at a time that is separate from numerous streaming provider's other tent-pole series including Orange is the New Black, The Crown, and Stranger Things.
